Handcrafted in Switzerland from luxurious, plant-based cellulose acetate sourced from Italy, it gently glides through wet or dry hair without pulling, tugging or breaking the strands.
Swiss craftsmanship
Every The Coastal Comb® is handcrafted in a Swiss atelier, where traditional craftsmanship meets exceptional precision. Each piece takes up to 30 days to create and passes through 20 individual stages, from shaping to the hand-polishing of every tooth.
The comb is made from Italian cellulose acetate, a refined plant-based material created in Italy from cotton fibres and wood pulp. Lightweight, durable and hypoallergenic, it is gentle enough for even the most sensitive scalp. The natural character of the material also means that every piece has its own unique colour pattern.
Effortless detangling & scalp massage
Its wide-set teeth work beautifully on every hair type, including curls, thick hair and strands prone to tangling, while the ergonomic shape sits naturally and comfortably in the hand.
Each tooth is carefully rounded, smoothed and polished by hand, allowing the comb to move effortlessly through the hair while feeling exceptionally gentle on the scalp, softly massaging it with every stroke.
The wide-tooth design helps detangle without unnecessary tension, reducing the risk of damage. It is also ideal for distributing conditioner or a hair mask evenly through the lengths.
